Captain’s Quarters: What’s Nearby

By Vacation Myrtle Beach

Captain’s Quarters, the March featured resort for Vacation Myrtle Beach, has plenty of things for guests to do. From the Level 6 Entertainment Center to the Shipwreck Lagoon, it offers some of the best amenities of any of the Myrtle Beach resorts.

But it’s also close to a lot of great shopping, dining and fun things to do. Here’s a list of just a few of things that are close to Captain’s Quarters.

The Market Common
This one-of-a-kind shopping district has hundreds of shops, restaurants and bars to choose from. It’s also got a movie theatre and a park surrounding a lake, so any Myrtle Beach vacation goer can find something they like to do there.

Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum
This “odditorium” has been a part of downtown Myrtle Beach for years and offers entertainment for kids and adults alike. From a 6 legged cow to a real shrunken head you won’t be sorry you paid a visit here. With your VMB card you get $2 off a ticket.

Family Kingdom Amusement Park
This small amusement park is practically next door to Captain’s Quarters. There are classic rides like bumper cars, a ferris wheel and a wooden roller coaster. It offers hours of fun for kids and adults. VMB resort guests get $3 off an all-day ride pass.

Myrtle Beach Zipline
You can fly through the ocean air at speeds up to 35 mph on a zipline ride. At Myrtle Beach Zipline, located in downtown Myrtle Beach right by the boardwalk, you can go for speed or for accuracy by playing corn hole from the air against your friends, family or fellow vacationers. With your Myrtle Beach discounts card you can get a zipline and free fall tower ride for $35, usually priced at $50.

The SkyWheel
One of the most defining features of the Myrtle Beach skyline, the Myrtle Beach SkyWheel takes you on a ride far above downtown Myrtle Beach and offers some spectacular views of the ocean and the area. And guests at VMB resorts get $2 off their SkyWheel flights before 7 p.m. (Visit the VMB card page for more details)

Myrtle Beach State Park
Myrtle Beach State Park is one of the few state parks in South Carolina that offer pristine beach access in addition to a wooden retreat. There are tons of activities offered at the park, from games for kids to nature tours for adults. Or you could just take a walk through its peaceful acres.

These are just a sampling of the many great attractions located near Captain’s Quarters resort, and if you work up an appetite there are tons of restaurants nearby as well and many of them have discounts that are exclusive to Vacation Myrtle Beach guests!
