1. New South Brewing

This microbrewery has brewed locally since 1998 and produces around 3,000 barrels of micro brews annually. Enjoy a beer or two in the taproom or at the outdoor seating area.

Their flagship beers, New South White Ale and Nut Brown Pale Ale, are both an easy-drinking introduction into the world of craft beer. Other beers on tap include IPAs, stouts, and porters.

 

2. Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant

Gordon Biersch specializes in German brews including their Marzen amber lager and Hefeweizen weissbier.

One of the most popular bars at The Market Common, enjoy beers and bar bites on the outdoor patio area or catch the game on one of several flat-screen televisions from the indoor bar area.

 

3. Independent Republic Brewing Co.

Located on the Intracoastal Waterway, Independent Republic Brewing Co. is another Myrtle Beach microbrewery. You can’t visit Myrtle Beach without spending at least an hour or 2 in this area and enjoying the serenity with a cold beer in hand; it is really one of the best ways to experience the Intracoastal.

Their beer list includes lagers, IPAs, stouts, and pale ales. In addition to sipping brews, visitors can enjoy appetizers, burgers, and sandwiches with a view of the Intracoastal Waterway. During the summer months, there’s live music at The Boathouse.

 

4. Grand Strand Brewing Company

Located in the heart of downtown Myrtle Beach, Grand Strand Brewing Company brews a handful of in-house beers from stouts to IPAs. Pair your brew with a burger or wings for lunch or dinner. Live music is available on select evenings, as well as games and activities for kids.

 

5. Tidal Creek Brewhouse

Start your day with freshly roasted coffee and end the day with a locally brewed beer at Tidal Creek Brewhouse. Tidal Creek beers include sours, German beers, IPAs, and ales that pair perfectly with their brats and flatbreads on the shareables menu and sandwiches from the lunch menu.

Sit indoors at the bar or sip and dine in the beer garden.

Tidal Creek Brewhouse also offers kid-friendly menu options and has live entertainment on select nights. Enjoy brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, to go with a cup of their freshly brewed coffee. Tidal Creek Brewhouse is located at The Market Common.

 

6. Liberty Tap Room & Grill

Although Liberty Tap Room & Grill isn’t a brewery, it serves the local community by offering a selection of local and regional beers on tap, including brews from New South Brewing, Grand Strand Brewing Company, and Tidal Creek Brewhouse.

If you’re interested in trying a wide range of South Carolina beers and don’t want to be tied down to one label, Liberty Tap Room is a great choice. Visitors can also enjoy their favorite bar bites from burgers to pizzas.

 

7. Crooked Hammock Brewery

Inspired by backyard cookouts, Crooked Hammock Brewery is a brewpub and restaurant in one, located at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach.
