After a cold winter, waiting on the summer to arrive so you can go on your family-fun vacation can seem like a lifetime. So why wait? If you’re ready for summer, Myrtle Beach is ready for you. With tons of events going on this month, a May vacation to the beach is just the thing to pass the time until summer. Here are just a few of the events happening at that beach in May:

Mayfest on Main
North Myrtle Beach will be hosting its 9th annual Mayfest on Main on Saturday, May 10th from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. This annual festival is a great way to enjoy the weather and the family with food, fun, and festivities on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach. The festival will have live music from Al Jardine and David Marks, founding members of The Beach Boys, a children’s area, street entertainers and more. So grab the family and some beach chairs and head down to Main Street for a day of family-fun entertainment.

Myrtle Beach Pelicans Baseball

After the games, hang around and let the kids head out onto the field and run the bases. Following the May 18 game, there will be a post-game firework display put on by East Coast Pyrotechnics. The Blue Crab Festival provides day-long entertainment for children and adults, with specialty food samples, arts and craft vendors, and a number of other activities. Come be a part of the festivities and enjoy a day out along the coast.
