Myrtle Beach Itinerary: Weekend Getaway
Myrtle Beach is a great destination for long vacations and short vacations. Even if you only have a weekend to spare, Myrtle Beach is a great place for a quick getaway filled with fun and relaxation. Whether you choose to take your weekend vacation in the middle of summer or just want to get away from the chill of your hometown during the winter, Myrtle Beach should be on the top of your list for a weekend-escape.
Friday (arrival):
- Lunch: Arrive in Myrtle Beach; eat lunch at Fuddruckers in North Myrtle Beach on your way into town
- Early Afternoon: Check into your resort, unpack and watch the waves from your balcony or lay out in the sun by the pool
- Late Afternoon: Take a ride on the Myrtle Beach SkyWheel, walk along the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and visit Ripley’s Believe it or Not
- Dinner: Have some oysters at Dirty Don’s Oyster Bar and Grill on the Boardwalk and people watch
- Early Evening: Take a walk on the 2nd Avenue Pier
- Evening: Catch a show at the Palace Theatre or Legends in Concert in Myrtle Beach
Saturday:
- Breakfast: Enjoy the fresh foods of Croissants Bistro and Bakery
- Morning: Look for shells on the beach or go for an early morning swim
- Late Morning: Visit Ripley’s Aquarium at Broadway at the Beach
- Lunch: Hard Rock Café at Broadway at the Beach
- Early Afternoon: Explore various wonders at WonderWorks for a couple of hours
- Late Afternoon: Leave Broadway at the Beach and head over to The Market Common and do some shopping
- Dinner: Have a nice dinner at Travinia
- Early Evening: Catch a movie at The Market Common
- Evening: Go dancing at 2001 Entertainment Complex or go for a swim in the indoor pool
Sunday:
- Breakfast: Have breakfast at the resort
- Morning: Play mini golf at Jungle Safari or real golf at Barefoot Golf then check out of resort
- Lunch: At TBonz Gill and Grill
- Afternoon: Explore Brookgreen Gardens then head home!
