Oceanfront Pool Bar – The seasonal Pool Bar offers a great place to keep you going on a warm summer day by the pools or surfing the waves with hamburgers, wraps, nachos and fries from Loco Gecko, along with a number of ice cold drinks, including signature daiquiris and non-alcoholic smoothies. Located on the south end of Ocean Boulevard, Crown Reef is easily accessible to beach traffic in any direction. The resort is located just minutes from the Myrtle Beach International Airport and The Market Common shopping, dining and entertainment complex. Just next door to the resort is Downwind Sails watersports, offering a variety of ocean excitement including parasailing, jet skis, banana boat rides and more. Adding to the exciting activities right outside Crown Reef's door, just a short drive from the resort are Broadway at the Beach, the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, Coastal Grande Mall, the Tanger Outlet Center, and more. There is fun for everyone in Myrtle Beach including amusement parks, water parks, putt-putt golf, race cars, tennis, fishing and sailing. In the evening here in Myrtle Beach, take in one of the must-see entertaining family shows that all members of your group will enjoy. Policies:
Resort Policies For Main Resort Accommodations
Total includes room, resort, booking, destination marketing fees, and taxes as well as any purchased additional services. Taxes and fees subject to change. The first nights room and tax as well as any additional services for the first night of your stay will be charged to your credit card to guarantee your reservation. The credit card used for the deposit must be presented at check-in, with matching photo ID. Your remaining balance is due upon check in** and can be paid via major credit card* or debit card. Credit or debit cards must have a VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express logo and must be imprinted with the cardholder’s name; matching photo ID must also be presented. We are unable to accept checks, money orders, cash, pre-paid cards, gift cards or foreign currencies. *A 2.5% convenience fee will be added at check in for credit card payments, however this fee is waived for debit card payments. **Some packages/special offers may have different deposit/payment requirements. Please refer to the details of the rate plan.
Rates do not include taxes/fees. Canadian reservation deposits must be made in U.S. funds. Rates are based on double occupancy. An additional $10 per person, per night may be added for adults ages 17 or older; kids 16 or younger stay free within maximum occupancy. Weekends slightly higher. No charge for pack and plays, which are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Guest must be 21 years or older to register unless accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or spouse. Each reservation may purchase one parking pass per unit if booked in a standard room/efficiency or two per suite. A $12/night charge per vehicle for overnight parking will be charged at check-in. Recreational vehicles and trailers are not permitted. A $200 credit card pre-authorization is required at check-in as a security deposit. Pre-Authorization, less any charges, released upon check out. Availability of funds may vary based upon your financial institution and account type and may take 10+ days. Pets are not allowed. A fine of $500 will be assessed if a pet is brought into a unit. Service animals are not considered pets when required to perform a specific duty for the owner, and must be registered at the front desk at check-in. Emotional support animals however are considered pets and are not allowed at any time. Grilling is not permitted on balconies. Rates subject to change. Holiday rates slightly higher. Check-in time after 4 pm. Check-out time 11 am.
Crown Reef Vacation Interruption Protection (VIP) Plan
Add Crown Reef's Vacation Interruption Protection (VIP) Plan to your reservation in order to protect your vacation investment (call for pricing details!). The VIP Plan can be purchased at the time of booking or within 24 hours of booking, and will offer you the following great benefits to give you complete peace of mind before and during your hard earned vacation:
- Cancel any time before 4 PM on your check in day and your deposit will be refunded in full
- Make changes to your reservation as you need*
- In the unfortunate event that your stay is cut short, you will receive a refund for the remaining portion of your stay*
By declining the VIP Plan, you understand that the following will apply to your reservation:
- The reservation deposit is non-refundable
- Any changes made to the reservation, prior to arrival, will incur a $20 fee per change; changes include, but are not limited to date changes and room type changes*
- No refund for early departures
*Any changes will require your booking to be re-calculated based on the current best available rate and the new actual length of stay. Early departures require checkout by 11:00am.
VIP Plan is not valid with winter rental snowbird reservations, third-party reservations, Penthouse, or Advanced Purchase reservations. Other exclusions may apply.
Accidental Damage Protection
- The Accidental Damage Protection Plan is an optional fee that is $39.99.
- This plan provides coverage for up to $1,000 of accidental damage.
- This may include but is not limited to; furniture damage, scratches, scuffs or spills on carpet, bedspreads, broken lamp or scratches or scuffs to walls.
- This fee is non-refundable and is added to your balance.
- Any damage claim must be reported to the resort prior to check-out.
- The Accidental Damage Protection Plan does not cover intentional or malicious damage due to abuse or damage incurred while violating resort guidelines. For example, this may include but is not limited to smoking, pets, parties or other resort guidelines.
- If you opt to decline this optional coverage, a $200 preauthorization to a credit card will be required at check in to cover potential damage.

I definitely need to mention 2 of those employees that made our trip extraordinary Xhaffer(sp?)the chef that made the perfect omelets and Sophia our server who after the first day knew exactly what our drink order was! We came end of October but it was still really nice out. Got a great deal for oceanfront room since off season. We had 2 toddlers with us and it was great for them with the smaller little kids water park, rode the lazy river and played in the arcade. Room was nice and all the staff very nice as well. Will definitely stay her again when sticking to a budget!

My family had a great time! Everything was just oerfect from the easy check in to the location of our room amd the overall cleanliness was outstanding! Everybody who worked there was exceptionally nice and very eager to please. My 5yr old daughter absolutley loved the waterpark with the waterslides & the arcade with tue icecream parlor. And the lady who worked down at the arcade during our stay was unbelievably nicest warmest kindest friendliest person we had come across during our entire trip, she was awesome and made my daughter time ar the arcade a memorable one. Amd foe this we thank you our trip was awesome amd hope to come again soon!

From the time I arrived up until my departure everything was wonderful. Erica at guest services was excellent! She was professional, knowledgeable, and she made me feel welcomed. At check in the lady that helped me was very welcoming and was so patient with me with all my questions. I went to go to my room and was so surprised when I opened the door and went in and we (my family) were so surprised the staff had put balloons, candy, card (the staff signed a card) wishing my son who was turning 7 a happy birthday. Very sweet, thoughtful and very welcoming, I want to thank Crown Reef for wowing my experience. Staff so friendly and helpful. I work in customer service so I'm big on customer service. All the staff from checking in to the Loco Gecko to the arcade and the breakfast buffet staff were so warming. I will definitely come back and will recommend you. I want to thank the lady who did my reservation she went over and beyond with customer service. I told her what amenities I wanted and told me about Crown Reef.

With much understanding of HK not being able to enter rooms due to covid, they still provided excellent service when we needed something brought to our room. In return We made sure we stripped the linens from the beds, bagged all trash and wiped down all hard surfaces w Lysol as to help prevent HK from any germs ,if there was to be any, ...we appreciate the HK as I worked the field for 5yrs myself. I would love to stay again very soon. My mother will be arriving in October and I'm sure her stay will be just as wonderful as mine was!! The pool area was exceptionally clean and the entire staff was extremely nice. No hidden fees or charges added to our check in or check out. Overall rating is definitely well above a 10. Best hotel on the beach front. No complaints!! Keep up the good work. I'll recommend your hotel to everyone!! Hands down no questions asked

I was thoroughly impressed with the room and accommodations. Social distancing was easily down because of the vast amount of pools and lounge areas. I loved every morning waking up to see the staff taking their jobs seriously by cleaning and disinfecting. Including the pool area! Thank you for easing my mind on our tiny family getaway.

The property is beautiful. There are pools and spas everywhere. We love the play area for the kids. And the lazy river is the perfect place to relax. Rooms are basic but the beds are super comfortable.

Prices are reasonable, rooms are spacious with beach front view, the staff is very welcoming and helpful, plenty of amenities (kid water park, two water slides, arcade, restaurant, lazy river, hot tubs..etc) for both us adults and the children. Walk straight on the beach from the pools. Less than 10 minutes from downtown with shopping center and amusement parks. Highly highly recommend booking at Crown Reef Resort. Have stayed many times in the past 3 years and plan on staying many more in the future.

Wonderful. Great friendly staff. Two in particular stood out above the rest, our Room Attendant Donna. She was sweet and an extremely hard worker, who helped us immensely and kept our room immaculate. The other was the morning buffet worker at the Loco Gecko, Sophia. We also really liked Stephanie in the Loco Gecko bar. You do have wonderful, hard working, nice employees. They make you feel like a friend.

This trip was my family's 1st time staying at this Resort & I have to say by far it's the BEST on the beach. Nice rooms, very spacious, real room to move around, dining table and chairs, couch, beautiful view, liked being further down the blvd, yet not to far to participate in all the activities the boardwalk offers. Great restaurant inside, family or adult atmosphere. Waitresses great attitudes, bar tender great with family and adult time outings. Nice game room, pool areas, heated pools, kitchens have silverware, plates, bowls, coffee mugs, glasses, mixing bowls, pans, kitchen towels, small dish soap. Full size stove and refrigerator newer versions
