Carolina Opry

Launched by entertainer Calvin Gilmore in 1986, the Carolina Opry hosts a nightly musical variety show that has won numerous local awards for the best musical attraction in Myrtle Beach. The show features a cast of 36 local singers, musicians, dancers, comedians, and magicians. With a state-of-the-art sound system and 2,200 seats, the Carolina Opry operates as more of a palace than a theater. The show features two hours of high energy singing, dancing, and laughs. If you’re visiting during the winter in November and December, the show transforms into a Christmas wonderland while the cast illuminates the beauty of the Christmas season.
