Area Information
Dick’s Last Resort

Dick's Last Resort is a somewhat controversial bar and restaurant with good food and a unique atmosphere located at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach near Ocean Creek Resort.
The origins of this small restaurant chain go way back to when the owners opened a ‘fine dining’ restaurant, a venture that ended up as a dismal failure. Not to be outdone, the owners decided to go in the opposite direction and ‘go sloppy’, and a visit to their restaurant will reveal picnic-type wooden tables, no tablecloths, and a playfully rude wait staff.
If you’re sure that you don’t want fine dining, but instead want a fun evening while on your Myrtle Beach vacation, head for Dick's Last Resort - but be prepared for anything.
The proprietors of Dick's Last Resort hire serving staff who have a great tendency to be obnoxious and make fun of patrons, in a playful way, since this adds to the desired ambiance of the restaurant.
Patrons can expect to be insulted or otherwise offended. You will be given large bibs to wear as well as large paper hats. If you ask for a napkin, expect it to be thrown at you.
The restaurant offers a simple Southern style menu, though some of the items appear vulgar, in keeping with the restaurant’s atmosphere.
The restaurant also has live music nightly on the Tiki Bar Patio.
