Summer is officially over, but there are still plenty of things to do in Myrtle Beach in October, even when the kids are back at school. From fun fall festivals to food fests, the month of October is packed with spectacular events for guests of all ages!
Here is a small selection of events you can find in and around the Grand Strand area during the month of October:
25th Annual Pawleys Island Wine & Food Gala | October 2, 2025
- Where: The Reserve Golf Club of Pawleys Island
- What: Sample over 65 wines from renowned vineyards around the world, delicious hors d’oeuvres prepared by the area’s best chefs, dessert tastings, a silent auction, a complimentary wine glass, and more.
- Time: 7 p.m.
- Cost: General Admission $100 (must be 21 years of age to attend)

Vintage Market Days | October 3 – 5, 2025
- Where: Myrtle Beach Sports Center
- What: It’s a party! Upscale, vintage-inspired indoor/outdoor market featuring handmade treasures, home decor, jewelry, clothes, outdoor furnishings, plants, food, and more.
- Time: Friday/Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Pre-Purchase Cost: 3-Day VIP Pass: $15 +tax | Saturday/Sunday Ticket: $10 +tax | Children under 12 free
15th Anniversary Grand Strand Mustang Stampede | October 4, 2025
- Where: Broadway at the Beach in front of Dave & Buster’s
- What: Coastal Carolina Mustang Club’s annual car show.
- Time: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Cost: $25 early pre-registration or $30 car registration at the gate
Annual Surfside Beach Family Festival | October 4, 2025
- Where: Surfside Drive in Surfside Beach
- What: This annual all-ages event brings thousands of people together for festival food favorites, arts and crafts vendors, children’s activities, and live entertainment.
- Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Cost: Free Admission
Annual OktoberFest Barefoot Landing | October 4, 2025
- Where: Barefoot Landing, North Myrtle Beach, SC
- What: Come and enjoy this annual event featuring German and fall-inspired food and drink items. There will also be live music, contests, and other activities.
- Time: 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
12th Annual Myrtle Beach BRITFEST | October 4, 2025
- Where: The Market Common, Johnson Avenue and Hendrick Avenue, Myrtle Beach, SC
- What: The largest and one of the best regional British car shows in the southeast! Featuring car show awards, raffles and gifts, best hat competition, English tea, food trucks, and more.
- Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Cost: Registration fees vary from $35 – $50, depending on the registration date; second and third vehicles are $15/each | Free admission to the public.
Harvest Home Weekend Festival | October 4 – 5, 2025
- Where: Brookgreen Gardens, Murrells Inlet
- What: A variety of family fun fall activities such as pumpkin decorating, scarecrow building, hay maze, food vendors, and more.
- Time: 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Cost: Free with Garden admission; fees for certain activities.
10th Annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5K Beach Walk | October 11, 2025
- Where: Crown Reef Resort, 2913 S Ocean Blvd in Myrtle Beach.
- What: Walk to raise money and awareness for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
- Time: Registration at 8 a.m., Beach Walk at 10 a.m., Post-Walk celebration at 11 a.m.
- Cost: Free registration; donations encouraged.
16th Annual Myrtle Beach Mini Marathon & Coastal 5K | October 11, 2025
- Where: Myrtle Beach Boardwalk
- What: The Annual Myrtle Beach Mini Marathon (13.1 miles), 5K (3.1 miles)
- Time: Mini Marathon (13.1 miles) @ 7 a.m. and 5K (3.1 miles) @ 7:15 a.m.
- Cost: Mini Marathon $85 | 5K $57 (prices may increase on race day).
Art in the Park | October 11 – 12, 2025
- Where: Market Common’s Valor Park
- What: Hosting 50+ artists ranging from far across the country to local areas. Various arts include paintings, woodworking, photography, jewelry, fabric, glass, metal, pottery, and stone.
- Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

20th Annual Little River Shrimpfest | October 11 – 12, 2025
- Where: Historic Little River Waterfront
- What: Shrimp and fresh local seafood will be served! Enjoy 2 stages of live music, stilt walkers, balloon artists, a variety of art and craft vendors, business expos, and more.
- Time: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
8th Annual Klig’s Kites Festival | October 11 – 12, 2025
- Where: The Market Common
- What: Come join the 8th Annual Kite Festival! Learn to fly a kite and watch stunts from the professionals! There will also be live music and food trucks at this annual event.
- Time: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Cost: Free admission and parking
Cruisin’ The Beach Car Show | October 16 – 18, 2025
- Where: Broadway at the Beach
- What: Check out modern, classic, muscle, and vintage cars and browse various vendors.
- Time: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday.
- Cost: $35 early pre-registration or $45 after September 1st.
9th Annual Myrtle Beach Jazz Festival | October 17 – 19, 2025
- Where: 2501 North Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach
- What: Bringing together a diverse group of local, regional, and national jazz artists to celebrate Myrtle Beach’s music history and culture, alongside the best food vendors in the area. Bring your own lawn chair to sit on while enjoying the music.
- Cost: General admission: Free | Friday VIP Experience: $100+ per person | Saturday or Sunday VIP Experience: $100+ and $150+ per person (VIP experience includes wine, delicious snacks, and a closer view of the musicians)
44th Annual North Carolina Oyster Festival | October 18 – 19, 2025
- Where: 11 East 2nd Street, Ocean Isle Beach, NC
- What: Come celebrate everything oyster! Live entertainment, oyster eating contest, oyster shucking contest, oyster stew cook-off, vendors, and more.
- Time: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday | 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday
- Cost: $5 per adult (cash only); kids 12 years and under are free.
45th Loris Bog-Off Festival | October 18 , 2025
- Where: Downtown Loris
- What: Chicken Bog cooking contest, arts and crafts vendors, car show, live entertainment, children’s fun area, plenty of chicken bog, fireworks extravaganza, and more.
- Time: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Cost: Free Admission
36th Annual Wooden Boat Show | October 18 – 19, 2025
- Where: Waterfront and along Front Street in Historic Downtown Georgetown, SC
- What: One of the Southeast’s best wooden boat exhibits with more than 100 classic wooden boats ranging in size from kayaks to yachts, boatbuilding, a boat race, children’s model boatbuilding, a youth sailing regatta, knot tying, maritime arts and crafts, and food.
- Time: 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday | 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday
- Cost: Free Admission
54th Annual North Carolina Yam Festival | October 25, 2025
- Where: Tabor City, NC
- What: “Here a Yam, There a Yam, Everywhere a Yam Yam” Festival featuring a car/truck/bike/tractor show, food and craft vendors, parade, live entertainment, sweet potato giveaway, paint a yam, art and photography show, mascot race, kids’ zone, and more.
- Time: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Cost: Free Admission
5th Annual Myrtle Beach Jeep Jam | October 31 – November 2, 2025
- Where: Tabor City, NC
- When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Where: Former Myrtle Square Mall Site at 2501 N Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach
- What: A 3-day festival featuring an epic off-road obstacle course, car show, beach crawls, raffles, nightly parties around the city, and over 90 vendors!
- Time: Friday 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. | Saturday/Sunday 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Cost: $10 per day for attendees not with a registered Jeep | Children under 12 FREE
