Surf’s up! This 61-foot long outdoor mural captures the true essence of Myrtle Beach thanks to the painting’s beach scene of surfing and sandcastles on a sunny day at the beach. The vibrant colors and detail make this wall Instagram-worthy. You can easily grab a picture from the Lulu’s Cafe parking lot or simply walk from the beach to grab a picture.


Whaling Wall

Address: 2101 North Oak Street, Myrtle Beach

This 240-foot long, 50-foot high outdoor mural of a pod of life-sized Right Whales, bottlenose dolphins, and loggerhead sea turtles is located at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center and is a true wonder to behold. The mural is easy to spot from the north side of the building and anyone entering the convention center from the main parking lot will have the opportunity to get a picture.

Take a detour 20 minutes inland to historic downtown Conway and make a stop at the Conway Riverwalk. Chances are you’ll likely find locals and visitors alike strolling this serene waterfront boardwalk enjoying the views and taking pictures among the old oak trees, Spanish moss, and the peaceful Waccamaw River.

With miles of walking paths surrounded by centuries old Live Oak trees, beautifully manicured gardens with flowers blooming, and hundreds of incredible sculptures that range in all sizes, Brookgreen Gardens is a day’s worth of photo opportunities any time of the year. Located in Murrells Inlet, this sculpture garden and wildlife preserve is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is designated as a National Historic Landmark.

There are always picturesque views of the serene saltwater marsh, and iconic local landmarks like Goat Island, that will have you snapping and sharing plenty of photos with friends and family. The boardwalk that runs along the saltwater marsh offers plenty of opportunities for fabulous landscape, selfie, and portrait pics.

Huntington Beach State Park in Murrells Inlet is a popular spot for family and couples portraits and you can capture the same pics by making the journey yourself. Best of all, just about everything that makes Huntington Beach State Park so popular among photophiles is within walking distance, from the beach to the dunes to the palm trees to the one-hundred-year-old Atalaya Castle. So you won’t have to walk too far to get the best pictures.

 

Teal Alley

Address: 1020 3rd Avenue, Conway

Named for Coastal Carolina University’s bright colors, Teal Alley is a section of historic downtown Conway that bleeds team spirit and was painted by Coastal Carolina University students. The illustrations make for some colorful backgrounds for selfies and portraits, complete with teal-colored field turf.
