Unlike a few other recommendations on this list, Ducatis Pizzeria is a true Myrtle Beach staple. They’ve been serving our community with really good pizza since 2014 and will hopefully continue for years to come.
At Ducatis Pizzeria & Trattoria, they have an excellent selection of pizzas on the menu as well as appetizers, calzones, strombolis, and entrees. They’ll even deliver your order if you’d rather stay comfortable in your rental or enjoy those extra 30 minutes at the resort pool.
The menu here is seriously huge so take your time browsing through to see if you’re after a delicious pizza or another Italian delicacy.
2. Ultimate California Pizza

The Ultimate California Pizza has multiple locations in Myrtle Beach, from Surfside Beach to North Myrtle Beach, so you are never very far from one of them. Awarded the “Best of the Beach” year after year, you won’t be surprised why the moment you bite into your slice of hand-tossed pizza.
They offer 70 toppings to their pizzas, which come in three sizes, 8”, 12” and 14”. You’ll also find sandwiches, subs, pasta, salads, appetizers, and a kids menu. Vegetarians, vegans, and those with gluten sensitivity rejoice – Ultimate California Pizza has plenty of menu items for you, too.
In each location you can either dine in, carry out or they will deliver to your door.
3. Gino’s Real New York Pizza

One of the top pizza restaurants well worth a mention is Gino’s Real New York Pizza. Known for New York-style pizzas served in larger sizes than normal, 16”, 18”, and 20”, this is the place to go when you have a big appetite or a big group. Besides pizzas, Gino’s has appetizers, stromboli, calzones and a number of other choices. Gino’s will deliver or you can dine in or takeaway.
The décor here is unpretentious, with small square tables set on a checkered black and white floor. You might just feel as though you’ve left South Carolina and have stumbled into Little Italy.
They also have a location in Carolina Forest so you have more chances to try their beloved NY pizza.
4. AJ’s Pizza

Located in the northern end of Myrtle Beach, AJ’s Pizza is one of the local favorite places to grab a pie or two.
For those that are looking for a more diverse menu, you’ll be pleased by AJ’s. Here you can get not only a great pizza but also focaccia, subs, salads, wraps, and pasta. You’ll find a nice balance between Italian favorites and American dishes so even the pickiest eater in your group will find something that excites them.
We highly recommend you try one of their specialty pizzas or, if you’re feeling creative, make your own pie instead!
5. Mellow Mushroom

Mellow Mushroom has branches all over the US so even if you’ve never eaten at one before, it’s likely you’ve seen their groovy decor. Although you might be looking for a more unique pizza place, if you’re open to a chain, you can’t go wrong at Mellow Mushroom.
The extensive menu includes pizza, hoagies, calzones, and salads. You get the chance to make up your own filling for pizzas and calzones, with gluten-free options too. If you’re a beer aficionado then try out this hippie-style pizzeria, which offers more than 100 different beers.
Keep in mind that Mellow Mushroom doesn’t deliver, although they are located just steps away from the Pelican’s Stadium making it an easy stop before catching a baseball game.
6. Godfather’s Pizza

Godfather’s Pizza started off more than 30 years ago as a small pizza parlor in Omaha, Nebraska. It was so successful that it expanded to have more than 600 branches all the way across the country today.
Although many people tend to steer away from chain restaurants while on vacation, if you don’t have a Godfather’s Pizza in your hometown, it’s worth the visit, especially if you enjoy thick crust!
With plenty of time to perfect their recipes, you’ll find every pizza heaped with meats, fresh vegetables, and loads of mozzarella cheese. At Godfather’s you can either dine in, order takeout, or have your pizza delivered to eat in the comfort of your vacation rental.
The menu is stacked with specialties and even an option to build your own pie. If you have a sweet tooth, add the Cinnamon Roll Streusel to your order for dessert.
7. Benito’s Brick Oven Pizza & Pasta

Benito’s is a homely Italian trattoria located just a few miles north in North Myrtle Beach. The eatery menu specializes in pizzas with a handful of pastas, antipastos, and salads to add to your choice.
If you’d rather eat back at your rental, you can phone ahead to Benito’s and your pizza will be ready for you to collect in no time. For those choosing to dine in, you’ll find a really relaxed atmosphere waiting to welcome you.
Favorite menu items include their brick oven pizza, calzone, and stromboli. The classic pepperoni and veggie are truly great pizzas here!
8. King’s Famous Pizza

Also located in North Myrtle Beach, King’s Famous Pizza is worth the drive not just for pizza but also for its pasta and Italian bakery treats like homemade cannoli.
King’s Famous Pizza is a dine-in or takeaway pizzeria, just north along Hwy 17 from Barefoot Landing. The pizza menu is quite small but for the most part you get to choose your own toppings. The price of the pizza will depend on the number of toppings you choose.
This laid-back Italian restaurant has been serving slices at the beach for over 30 years. If you want a bite of somewhere you can’t get back home, we highly recommend you try Kings.
