The Slingshot

Myrtle Beach is home to many thrill rides but ‘The Slingshot’ is clearly one of the best stomach-churning adventures. Locked into a two-seater compartment, the riders are rocketed skyward at speeds of over 100 mph. At the apex, the riders are over 300 feet off the ground before being propelled downward just to do it all over again! If that’s not exciting enough, the ride has a mounted camera to show those waiting in line the reaction to those currently in flight. While this ride isn’t for the faint-of-heart, it’s clearly the top thrill ride in Myrtle Beach.
